Microwaves turn everyday foods into crime fighting mutants. Without these microwaves, the world just wouldn’t be a safe place. Keep on cookin, honey.

There are dangers of radiation if you are standing at the door watching but are ok if you move away from them, apart from that they are safe as any other cooker

Well, I have heard of that, too. I guess everything has two sides to it and it just depends on what you want to do. You can heat food using gas but then smelling gas isn’t better, either.

It’s like inhaling chalk (powders) while you write on chalk board VS smelling whiteboard markers….

Just make sure when you do use microwave, well, apart from radiation (which my science teacher friend says it’s rubbish), you can also, cover food with a microwavable plate or paper towel instead of plastic wraps. Also, once the food is heated up, don’t eat it straight away, stir through and eat after 5 min or so.

You are exactly right. Microwave ovens break down the cellular structure of the little nutirents of the food you are heating. Unlike a regular oven, microwaves take a shorter period of time to heat your food thus only targeting the cellular structure.

If you’re wondering what type of energy is used to heat your microwaved food, it’s simple called radiation. In fact, when the microwave was first invented it were called radar rangers, insisting microwaves heat your food with the use of radiation…this is the same thing used to try and kill cancerous cells (radiation therapy) and tissue from your body, that is how powerful it is.

Irradiating your food with the use of a microwave, destroys the structure of vitamins and nutrients in the food, but not so much as for minerals such as calcium, zinc but equally, if not more important vitamins as Vitamin B and important nutrients are easily distroyed.

Those using the microwave on a regular basis are, we may say freely on a path to digenerative diseases and a life-long battle with obesity.

The more you use a microwave oven to heat or ‘cook’ food, the worse your nutritional state gets and thus the far more you’re going to be diagnosed with various diseases which in fact, might put you on pills whom, as obvious as it is cause further more health risks. I’d like to believe no one wants to live like this. Always in and out of hospitals and having your entire life depending on pills.

It’s quite simple, get rid of your microwave or pull the plug out and instead use one of those toaster ovens or on a stovetop pan. Radiation free! You can even make a hot dog on a stove. Take a pot, add some water and put in your hot dog and let it bubble. It’s healthier and actually doesn’t get crispy looking. If you like that crispy taste than why not use a toaster oven. It’s a toaster, much smaller than the regular microwave (also cheeper) in the form of an ovan. You simply place your hot dog inside and in a matter of minutes it’s literally ready. You can even adjust the heat and time…it’s perfect, truly.

    Facts about microwave related issues:

-a woman was once poisonned by her microwave through the food she used to heat it. It resulted in the famous 1991 court case! Must read about it!

-did you know owning and selling a microwave is illegal in Russia. Come on guys! This is the biggest nation in the world and even they banned the thing due to it’s health risks

-microwaves cause cancerous agents within microwaved cereals and milk

-60-90% of the nutrients and vitamins in the food you microwaved are lost entirely. And we wonder why we’re fatter, sicker, much lazier and scientifically proven more stupid than any previous generation.

There is much much more facts you can read about on the link below…which is one of my sources of informations, whilst the rest I learned in my university physics course (about the ulteration of nutritional structure).

I spent 5 months without a toaster and at first it drove me crazy not having the skills and ability to use something else but little by little, you learn your brain is a miracle worker and it helps your figure things out…which btw, figuring something entirely knew out makes your brain stronger and less likely to go coo coo and get dementia for example Alzheimer’s. Isn’t it fun learning new things from complete strangers online? :) anyways, hope it helped answer your question.

    Cheers

Well, it does break down nutrients, but it doesn’t use the kind of radiation you’re thinking of. Most people when they think of radiation think of ionized radiation, like the kind that comes from a nuclear power plant. This type is more like radio waves. It’s no more harmful than listening to the radio, and although a microwave isn’t the most nutritious way to cook food, it’s not exactly harmful to cook food in a microwave, unless you cook an egg, that is, then it explodes so violently that the door blows open.
